The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hanapepe, HI, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food practices. By providing comprehensive training and support, we empower our Fellows to advocate for a food system that is just, equitable, and environmentally sound. Our program offers participants the unique opportunity to engage in hands-on learning on a market-style farm, where they will grow and distribute diverse crops, foster community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into educational initiatives. During their six-month residential experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows will cultivate essential skills before embarking on a transformative Community Action Year, where they can implement their knowledge in collaboration with local non-profits. We believe in accessibility and do not charge tuition to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on their community's food system.
