The Senior Food Box Program, also recognized as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential monthly food assistance to low-income kūpuna in Hauula, HI. Each Senior Food Box is filled with quality USDA foods crucial for improving nutrition and addressing senior hunger, ultimately aiding in the prevention of potential health issues and costly healthcare services. Participants receive a monthly box that supplements their dietary needs, supporting a healthier lifestyle for our cherished elders. We encourage interested individuals to download and complete the application available online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand and limited availability, all distribution sites are currently operating with wait lists, and applications will be processed in the order received. While on the wait list, recipients may not receive a box every month, but any extra available boxes from distributions will be allocated to those waiting.
