The Senior Food Box Program in Hauula, HI, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential monthly food assistance to low-income kūpuna. By delivering a carefully curated box of quality USDA food, we aim to combat the significant issue of senior hunger, helping to improve health outcomes and prevent costly hospitalizations for our elders. Our program ensures that each box is designed to supplement vital nutrients, offering a lifeline for those in need. Enrollment is simple; interested individuals can download and complete an application to submit to the Hawaii Foodbank. As demand is high and resources are limited, those applying will be placed on a wait list. Though we strive to meet the needs of all applicants, boxes are not guaranteed each month while on the wait list. However, any extra boxes at the end of each distribution may be offered to those waiting, ensuring we do our best to support our cherished kūpuna whenever possible.
