Located in Hilo, HI, Financial Assistance Funds is dedicated to supporting families with children who have special health care needs. Our mission is to provide vital financial assistance for both medical and non-medical expenses, enhancing the quality of life for these families. We offer grants of up to $500 per family each year, which can be applied toward medical costs such as prescriptions and durable medical equipment, as well as essential non-medical needs such as home and vehicle modifications, clothing, and travel for medical purposes. We understand the multifaceted challenges that families face, which is why we also assist with daily living costs like food, utilities, and transportation. Requests are reviewed in order of submission, and approvals typically occur within 15 business days. Together, we strive to bring relief and support to those who need it most in our community.
