The PNH Patient Travel Assistance Fund is dedicated to supporting individuals affected by Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) in Hilo, HI, by providing essential financial assistance for travel to specialized care. Each eligible PNH patient may receive up to $800 annually to facilitate visits to PNH specialists or to obtain second opinions. This assistance covers a range of expenses including airfare, train tickets, ground transportation, lodging, meals, and medical co-pays for visits or tests not fully covered by insurance. To ensure patients have the support they need during their journey, grantees are allowed to travel with a companion using the allocated funds. Our mission is to empower patients with the resources necessary to access quality care while alleviating some of the financial burdens they face.
