Early Head Start (EHS) in Holualoa, HI, is a dedicated federally funded program that serves low-income families with infants and toddlers under three years old, as well as pregnant women. With an emphasis on early childhood education and comprehensive support services, EHS offers home-based assistance across Hawaii Island, particularly in East Hawaii. Our caring home visitors conduct weekly visits, lasting 1.5 hours, to focus on the child’s development while empowering parents with the necessary tools and resources. Additionally, our program hosts group socialization activities twice a month, allowing families to engage and build community through enriching parent-child interactions. We also offer a prenatal curriculum for expectant mothers and implement the Partners for a Healthy Baby program to ensure holistic support for families.
