The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to supporting low-income kūpuna in Kaaawa, HI, by providing a monthly delivery of nutritious USDA food. Our mission is to alleviate the consequences of senior hunger, which can lead to serious health issues and increased medical costs for our vulnerable elders. Each Senior Food Box is carefully designed to supplement essential nutrients, helping to promote well-being and potentially reducing the need for costly hospital visits or nursing home care. To join the program, we invite you to download our application and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Please note that due to high demand, there are currently wait lists for all CSFP distribution sites. While you await your turn, we aim to provide extra boxes whenever possible at the end of each distribution.
