About Senior Food Box Program

The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing low-income kūpuna in Kahuku, HI, with essential monthly food assistance through quality USDA food boxes. Our mission is to alleviate senior hunger and its associated health risks by ensuring that our community's elders receive vital nutrients to support their well-being, helping them avoid unnecessary hospitalizations and nursing home placements. Each food box is thoughtfully curated to supplement dietary needs and enhance quality of life. To join our program, interested participants can download the application available online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Please note that due to high demand, there may be wait lists at distribution sites, and while we strive to assist as many as possible, we cannot guarantee a food box on a monthly basis while on the wait list. Extra boxes may be available for distribution after each session, offering hope to those waiting for assistance.
