About Senior Food Box Program

The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential monthly food assistance to low-income kūpuna in Kailua, HI. Our program supplies a curated box of high-quality USDA food each month, aimed at addressing the pressing issue of senior hunger and supporting the health and well-being of our aging community. By helping seniors obtain the nutrients they need, we strive to reduce the health risks associated with inadequate nutrition, ultimately helping to prevent expensive hospitalizations or nursing home placements. To join our program, interested individuals can download and submit an application to the Hawaii Foodbank. Please note that due to high demand, all distribution locations currently maintain wait lists, and while waiting, there is no guarantee of receiving a food box each month. However, any surplus boxes are allocated among those on the wait list at the end of each distribution. We are committed to serving our kūpuna and enhancing their quality of life through accessible food assistance.
