About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kalaheo, HI, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. We empower Fellows through comprehensive training that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic equity in agriculture. Our program, which is free of tuition to promote accessibility, combines hands-on education in organic farming, community gardening, and food literacy. Throughout their six-month experiential stay at our campus, Fellows engage in impactful projects such as growing diverse crops, leading educational sessions in health care, and supporting local farmers markets. After their immersive training, they embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their skills and make a meaningful difference. Interested candidates should apply by March of the application year, with experiences typically unfolding from May through October.
