About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program in Kalaheo, HI, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income kūpuna. Each month, qualified seniors receive a thoughtfully curated box of high-quality USDA food, which plays a vital role in addressing senior hunger and promoting better health. By alleviating nutritional deficiencies, our program aims to help kūpuna avoid costly medical interventions, such as hospitalizations and nursing home care. Participation in the program is straightforward: simply download the application available online, complete it, and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand, please note that there are wait lists at all CSFP distribution sites, and while on the list, monthly box availability cannot be guaranteed. However, extra boxes may be provided at the end of each distribution to those waiting. We are committed to ensuring that our senior community has access to the nourishment they need.
