About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program in Kaneohe, HI, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income kūpuna, ensuring they have access to a monthly supply of nutritious USDA-approved food. This program plays a vital role in alleviating senior hunger and promoting better health outcomes, thereby helping to reduce the risk of costly medical interventions and long-term care placements. Each Senior Food Box is carefully designed to supplement nutritional needs, delivering critical support to those in need. Interested participants can download an application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank; however, due to high demand, there is currently a wait list for distribution. While on the wait list, clients may not receive guaranteed monthly boxes, but extra available food may be allocated at the end of each distribution. We are committed to uplifting our senior community and enhancing their quality of life through reliable access to emergency food resources.
