The Senior Food Box Program, or Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to supporting low-income kūpuna in Kaneohe, HI, by providing monthly boxes filled with nutritious USDA-approved food. This initiative is crucial in addressing senior hunger and preventing serious health issues, ultimately helping our kūpuna avoid costly hospitalizations and nursing home placements. Each monthly food box is designed to supplement essential nutrients, fostering better health and well-being among our seniors. To participate, interested seniors can download the application available online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand, all distribution sites currently have wait lists; applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. While on the wait list, monthly boxes cannot be guaranteed, but any extra boxes at the end of distribution will be offered to those waiting. We are here to ensure that seniors receive the nourishment they need.
