About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing vital food assistance to low-income kūpuna in Kapaa, HI. Each month, qualified seniors receive a box filled with quality USDA foods that help combat senior hunger and enhance health, thereby reducing the risk of hospitalizations and nursing home placements. The program offers carefully curated food boxes that supplement essential nutrients to support overall well-being. Interested participants can apply by downloading the application available online and submitting it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand for these essential food resources, there are currently wait lists at all distribution sites. While on the wait list, applicants may not receive a box each month; however, any extra boxes at the end of each distribution can be allocated to those waiting. Join us in ensuring that no kūpuna in our community faces hunger alone.
