The Senior Food Box Program, part of the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential monthly food assistance to low-income kūpuna in Kapaa, HI. Each box is filled with quality USDA food that helps alleviate senior hunger, contributing to better health outcomes while reducing the need for costly hospitalizations and nursing home care. Our program focuses on delivering vital nutrients needed by seniors, ensuring they receive the support necessary for their well-being. To join, please download and submit the application to Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand, there are currently wait lists at all distribution sites, and while waiting, there is no guarantee of a food box each month. Clients on the wait list may receive extra boxes as they become available during distribution events.
