MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Kapaau, HI, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through a comprehensive weight management and health promotion initiative. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities is screened for obesity annually, and provided with tailored referrals to effective weight management services. We offer a variety of care options, including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which facilitates in-home messaging with clinicians. For those who prefer a more independent approach, our MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, Veterans struggling with weight-related issues after trying MOVE! may access weight loss medications or bariatric surgery. Each facility offers unique services to meet the diverse needs of our Veterans.
