Located in Kapolei, HI, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) programs are dedicated to supporting families in need through essential financial assistance and comprehensive case management services. Our mission is to empower families by providing monthly cash benefits for crucial needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, while also offering job training and resources to help individuals find stable employment. We understand the challenges that many families face, and we are here to help those who are unable to work as well as encourage self-sufficiency for those who can. With a maximum support period of five years for households that include a non-exempt adult, TANF and TAONF strive to create sustainable pathways towards stability and independence for all families we serve in our community.
