The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kealakekua, HI, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for an equitable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This hands-on program empowers selected Fellows through comprehensive education in organic food systems, enabling them to grow diversified crops on market-style farms, maintain community gardens, and facilitate innovative health education. With a commitment to accessibility, the Fellowship does not charge tuition and offers a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where participants apply their skills in collaboration with local non-profits. Our goal is to promote food literacy, support farmers' markets, and ensure increased access to healthy foods across communities, all while shaping future leaders in food advocacy.
