About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program in Kealia, Hawaii, affectionately known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential monthly food assistance to low-income kūpuna. Our program delivers nutritious USDA food boxes tailored to address senior hunger, significantly contributing to improved health outcomes for our elderly community members, helping them to avoid expensive hospital visits and the need for nursing home care. Each food box is designed to supplement critical nutrient needs, ensuring that our seniors receive the nourishment they deserve. To participate, individuals can easily download the application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. As we work to meet the high demand for our services, please note that all distribution sites currently maintain wait lists due to limited availability. Applicants will be added to the wait list in the order received, and while we strive to assist everyone, receiving a box each month cannot be guaranteed. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to our kūpuna in need.
