About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to supporting low-income kūpuna in Kealia, HI, by providing a monthly supply of nutritious USDA food. Our mission is to combat senior hunger and its health impacts, ultimately helping our kūpuna avoid the costly consequences of hospitalizations and nursing home care. Each monthly food box is thoughtfully designed to supplement essential nutrients, ensuring that our seniors receive the nourishment they need. Interested individuals can apply by downloading the application from the Hawaii Foodbank's website and submitting it to be considered for enrollment. Due to the significant demand for our food assistance program, we currently have wait lists at all distribution sites. While we strive to serve as many kūpuna as possible, enrollment does not guarantee a monthly food box right away; however, we do distribute any extra available boxes at the end of each distribution to clients on the wait list. Your health and well-being are our priorities, and we are here to assist you in navigating this process.
