Senior Food Box Program

Hawaii Foodbank Kekaha, HI

About Senior Food Box Program

The Senior Food Box Program in Kekaha, HI, offers vital food assistance to low-income kūpuna through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). Each month, participants receive a carefully curated box of high-quality USDA food, designed to provide essential nutrients that help combat senior hunger and improve overall health. By alleviating food insecurity, we aim to reduce the risk of costly hospitalizations and nursing home placements for our seniors. To join the program, interested individuals can download the application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Given the high demand and limited availability, all distribution sites currently maintain waitlists. Applicants will be placed on the waitlist according to the order of their submission, and while on the waitlist, receipt of a food box each month is not guaranteed. Extra boxes may be available for distribution to waitlisted clients at the end of each distribution event.
