About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income kūpuna in Koloa, HI, through essential food assistance. Each month, eligible seniors receive a carefully curated box of quality USDA food that serves as a vital supplement to their nutrition, helping to alleviate the severe impacts of senior hunger and reducing the risk of hospitalizations and nursing home placements. To join the program, potential participants can download the application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. While we strive to serve all applicants, high demand means there may be a waitlist for available Senior Food Boxes, with distributions at designated locations. We encourage all interested kūpuna to apply, as we are committed to nurturing our senior community with the nourishment they deserve.
