Based in Kula, HI, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system through education and empowerment. This transformative program sponsors and trains individuals to become passionate advocates for food equity, emphasizing the importance of environmentally friendly and socially responsible practices. Through hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows engage in organic food system education while supporting initiatives like community gardening, farmers markets, and food distribution channels that enhance access to healthy foods. The six-month experiential training culminates in a Community Action Year, where participants collaborate with local non-profits to apply their knowledge and make a meaningful impact. By eliminating tuition costs, we ensure that our fellowship is accessible to all dedicated individuals eager to make a difference in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
