About Senior Food Box Program

The Senior Food Box Program, also recognized as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income kūpuna in Kunia, HI. Each monthly food box contains nutritious USDA foods that play a vital role in addressing the challenges of senior hunger, helping to prevent potential health issues, costly hospital stays, and the need for nursing home care. By supplementing the nutritional needs of our seniors, we aim to enhance their well-being and independence. To enroll in this crucial program, applicants can download the application and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to the high demand for these food boxes, there is currently a waitlist for distribution sites; applicants will be placed on the list in the order of application submission. While waiting, there is no guarantee of receiving a box monthly, but any excess boxes after distribution may be allocated to those on the list. We are committed to supporting our community’s seniors with the nourishment they need and deserve.
