About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lawai, HI, we empower individuals to transform the landscape of food systems through education, advocacy, and practical experience. Our fellowship fosters a just food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable. We provide comprehensive training in organic food practices and ensure accessibility by not charging tuition. Participants engage in hands-on learning at our beautiful farm campus, where they learn to cultivate diverse crops and implement innovative community health programs. They also contribute to school and community gardens, enhance food and ecological literacy, and support local farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. After a six-month immersive experience, our Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their skills and make a meaningful impact. We encourage interested individuals to apply by March each year, with the program running from May to October.
