The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Lihue, HI, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide essential resources through nutrition and health education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to health and social services. Participants benefit from supplemental foods and receive coupons for fresh produce at local markets. Our caring, bilingual staff, fluent in Ilocano, Tagalog, and Hungarian, are here to assist, and we also offer additional language interpretation and services for the hearing-impaired upon request.
