The Senior Food Box Program, known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to addressing food assistance needs for low-income kūpuna in Mcbh Kaneohe Bay, HI. By providing a monthly box filled with quality USDA food, we aim to combat senior hunger and improve the health and well-being of our older adults, helping them avoid the risks of costly hospitalizations and nursing home placements. Each food box is carefully designed to supplement essential nutrients necessary for a healthy lifestyle. To participate, individuals can download and submit an application to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to the high demand for our Senior Food Boxes, we currently have a wait list for all CSFP distribution sites, and applicants will be served in the order their applications are received. While we strive to provide food assistance each month, clients on the wait list may not receive a box every time; however, any surplus boxes will be offered to those awaiting assistance at the end of each distribution.
