Early Head Start (EHS) is a vital, federally funded initiative located in Pahoa, Hawaii, dedicated to supporting low-income families with infants, toddlers under the age of three, and pregnant women. Our program focuses on prenatal care, early childhood education, and comprehensive services tailored to enhance the development of young children. Through weekly home visits, our skilled home visitors guide parents in nurturing their child’s growth, ensuring they have the tools needed to foster a rich learning environment. We believe in the power of community and provide group socialization activities twice a month, where families can connect and engage through enriching parent-child activities. EHS operates island-wide on Hawaii Island, specifically focusing on East Hawaii, and we look forward to expanding our reach with future classroom locations in Hawaiian Beaches and Hilo. By providing early learning experiences, health screenings, family support, and specialized prenatal curricula, we are committed to laying a strong foundation for our youngest community members and their families.
