About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Pahoa, HI, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders committed to creating a sustainable and equitable food system. Our program offers a unique, tuition-free opportunity for passionate individuals to engage deeply in organic food system education. Through hands-on training and empowerment, Fellows learn to advocate for environmentally, socially, and economically just food practices. The Fellowship encompasses six months of immersive, experiential education at our farm, followed by a Community Action Year where participants apply their knowledge through collaborations with various non-profit organizations. Fellows engage in vital community projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health education, maintaining school and community gardens, and supporting local farmers markets to enhance access to healthy foods. Join us in fostering food and ecological literacy while strengthening community ties in a practical and impactful way.
