Mobile Food Distribution in Pahoa, HI, strives to alleviate hunger by providing emergency food assistance to individuals and families in need. Operated by Feed My Sheep, our initiative focuses on distributing bags of nutritious groceries to ensure everyone has access to essential food items. Each week, we bring our outreach to neighborhoods where food insecurity is prevalent, allowing community members to freely participate without the need for prior applications. Our welcoming approach emphasizes compassion and understanding, offering emotional support through attentive listening and prayer, ensuring that all receive love and not judgment during difficult times. With drive-through services, open-air settings, and stringent cleaning protocols, we prioritize safety and accessibility for all participants. We encourage those who are elderly, disabled, or at heightened risk due to COVID-19 to take advantage of our special ‘Kupuna time’ between 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., which provides a quieter distribution experience. Together, we are dedicated to nourishing our community and fostering connection.
