MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Pahoa, HI, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through effective weight management and health promotion strategies. Our mission is to screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity, providing personalized referrals to a variety of services tailored to individual needs. We offer a diverse range of weight management options including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which allows for in-home messaging and clinician support. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is also available. Additionally, we provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans who have faced challenges despite participating in our program. To join MOVE!, Veterans are encouraged to connect with their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to embark on their weight management journey.
