About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Papaaloa, HI, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Through our no-cost fellowship program, participants engage in hands-on, experiential learning at our beautiful Allegheny Farm Campus, focusing on organic food system education. Fellows work collaboratively on diverse projects, including growing and distributing crops, maintaining community gardens, and implementing innovative health care education. Participants also play a crucial role in enhancing food and ecological literacy, supporting local farmers markets, and contributing to community food resilience. Following six months of immersive learning, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their invaluable skills in partnership with regional non-profits. We encourage aspiring Fellows to apply by March each year to join this meaningful journey of advocacy and education.
