About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to supporting low-income kūpuna in Pearl City, HI by providing essential food assistance through monthly boxes filled with quality USDA food. These thoughtfully prepared food boxes are designed to enhance the nutritional intake of seniors, helping to alleviate the serious health impacts of senior hunger. By addressing nutritional needs, the program plays a crucial role in preventing costly hospitalizations and long-term care placements for our elderly community members. Interested individuals can apply online and submit their completed application to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand, all distribution sites currently maintain wait lists, and while on the list, clients may not receive a box each month. However, extra boxes may be available at the end of each distribution for those waiting. We are committed to serving our kūpuna, ensuring they have access to the food assistance they need.
