About Senior Food Box Program

The Senior Food Box Program in Pearl City, HI, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to addressing the critical issue of senior hunger by providing low-income kūpuna with a monthly supply of nutritious USDA food. Each carefully curated Senior Food Box is designed to enhance the nutritional well-being of seniors, helping to mitigate health risks and reduce the likelihood of hospitalizations or nursing home placements. To participate, individuals can download and submit an application to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand, there are currently wait lists at all distribution sites, and clients are encouraged to apply early, as boxes are distributed based on the order of applications received. While waiting, clients may receive extra boxes if they are available at the end of each distribution, ensuring that we do our utmost to support our community’s seniors in need.
