About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Pepeekeo, HI, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders who advocate for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our program offers a free, six-month immersive experience on the Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows receive hands-on training in organic food system education. Participants engage in diverse activities like cultivating and distributing crops on a market-style farm, managing community gardens, and facilitating educational workshops focused on food and ecological literacy. Throughout their fellowship, they also collaborate with nonprofit partners to enhance food access and promote healthy eating initiatives. Together, we're empowering local communities and fostering sustainable food practices that benefit everyone, cultivating not just crops but also knowledge and support networks that will thrive beyond the fellowship. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience taking place from May to October.
