About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Princeville, HI, is dedicated to training and empowering emerging leaders to advocate for a just and sustainable food system. Our program provides comprehensive organic food system education, enabling selected Fellows to engage in meaningful work that includes growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community and school gardens, and integrating food literacy into educational programs. By fostering partnerships with local non-profits, we promote access to healthy foods and support initiatives like farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs. With no tuition costs, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring Fellows. Participants embark on a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they implement their training to effect positive change throughout the region. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
