About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), serves the community of Princeville, HI, by delivering monthly boxes of nutritious USDA food to low-income kūpuna. Our mission is to address the critical issue of senior hunger, providing essential nutrients to support the health and well-being of older adults. By reducing the risk of health complications such as costly hospitalizations and nursing home placements, our program plays a vital role in ensuring that seniors maintain their health and independence. To join the program, individuals can download the application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to the high demand, there are currently wait lists at our distribution sites, and boxes are distributed based on the order of applications received. We encourage community members to apply and appreciate their understanding as we work to provide assistance.
