About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Pukalani, HI, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This immersive program empowers selected Fellows through hands-on training and education in organic agriculture, food equity, and community health. Our Fellowship offers a no-cost tuition model to enhance accessibility, allowing participants to engage in impactful initiatives such as growing diverse crops, facilitating educational health sessions, maintaining gardens, and promoting food literacy within schools. Throughout their six-month experiential study at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows are equipped to drive meaningful change, followed by a Community Action Year where they collaborate with local non-profits to expand access to nutritious food and strengthen community food coalitions. Applications for this transformative fellowship are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
