About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program, also recognized as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income kūpuna at Tripler Army Medical Center, HI. Each month, eligible seniors receive a generous box filled with quality USDA foods aimed at addressing nutritional needs and alleviating the serious issue of senior hunger. By ensuring access to these vital resources, we help our kūpuna maintain their health, potentially avoiding costly hospitalizations and reducing the risk of nursing home placements. To join the program, interested individuals can download the application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand, there may be a waitlist for food boxes, but rest assured that applicants will be notified in the order their applications were received. Our mission is to ensure that every senior in our community has the nourishment they need to lead a healthier life.
