The Selma Schimmel Vital Grant is dedicated to supporting individuals in Volcano, HI, who are enduring significant financial hardships due to chronic, terminal, or rare health conditions like cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and Huntington’s disease. Through this compassionate program, we provide critical utility assistance and grocery support to ease the burden on those facing these life-altering challenges. While each grant focuses on either utility costs or grocery needs, we also collaborate with various local organizations to connect recipients with additional resources that can help during these tough times. Our mission is to ensure that our community members receive the support they need to manage their health and financial well-being with dignity and care.
