The Senior Food Box Program, known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to low-income kūpuna in Wahiawa, HI. Each month, we deliver quality USDA food directly to our seniors, addressing the critical issue of senior hunger and helping to improve health outcomes by ensuring they receive vital nutrients. Our program aims to reduce the risk of costly hospitalizations and nursing home placements by offering nutritious food options. While we are currently experiencing a high demand for our Senior Food Boxes, potential participants can apply by downloading our application online and submitting it to Hawaii Foodbank. After enrollment, seniors can access benefits at designated distribution sites, although due to limited availability, wait lists are in place.
