The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing vital food assistance to low-income seniors in Waialua, HI. Each month, eligible kūpuna receive a thoughtfully curated box filled with nutritious USDA food that not only addresses the critical issue of senior hunger but also promotes better health, preventing expensive hospital visits and nursing home placements. Our mission is to ensure that every participant obtains the essential nutrients they need through these monthly distributions. To join the program, applicants are encouraged to download and submit their application to the Hawaii Foodbank. Given the high demand for these essential food boxes and the limited availability, there is currently a wait list for distribution. While on this list, individuals may not receive a guaranteed box each month, but extra boxes are made available at the end of each distribution for those waiting. We are committed to supporting our senior community with dignity and care through this essential service.
