About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Waimea, HI, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. We offer a no-cost program that emphasizes organic food system education and hands-on learning experiences. Our Fellows engage in transformative activities such as growing and distributing diverse crops on a market-style farm, conducting health-oriented educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in local schools. Additionally, they play a crucial role in supporting farmers markets and developing channels that increase access to nutritious foods. Through a six-month immersive program at our campus, followed by a year of applying their skills with local non-profit organizations, our Fellows become leaders in promoting community health and food security. Applications for this impactful opportunity are welcomed annually until March, with the program running from May to October.
