About Senior Food Box Program
The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to supporting low-income kūpuna in Waimea, HI, by providing essential monthly food assistance through nutritious USDA food boxes. Our mission is to combat senior hunger and improve health outcomes by offering a reliable source of vital nutrients, which can help prevent costly hospital visits and nursing home placements. We encourage eligible individuals to apply online and submit their applications to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to high demand, there may be wait lists at our distribution locations, and while on the list, we strive to give extra food boxes as they become available after scheduled distributions. Join us in our effort to nourish the well-being of our community's elders through consistent and caring food support.
