The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing essential monthly food assistance to low-income kūpuna in Waipahu, HI. Each Senior Food Box contains a selection of nutritious USDA food designed to combat senior hunger and promote health, reducing the risk of hospitalizations and nursing home placements for our elderly community. By offering a reliable source of nutrients, we strive to support the well-being of our seniors. To participate, individuals can download the application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Due to the high demand for food boxes, all distribution sites maintain wait lists; applications are processed in the order received. While on the wait list, clients may not receive a box every month, but any extra available boxes at distribution will be allocated to those on the wait list. We are committed to serving our kūpuna with care and urgency.
