The Senior Food Box Program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), is dedicated to providing low-income kūpuna at Wheeler Army Airfield, HI, with a monthly supply of high-quality USDA food. Our mission is to alleviate senior hunger and its associated health risks, helping individuals avoid costly hospital stays and nursing home placements. Each monthly food box is thoughtfully designed to supplement essential nutrients for our aging population. To join the program, applicants can download the application online and submit it to the Hawaii Foodbank. Enrollment allows access to CSFP benefits at designated distribution sites, though please note that due to high demand, wait lists are currently in place. While waiting, individuals may occasionally receive extra boxes at the end of distributions. We strive to support our kūpuna by making nutritious food accessible and assisting them on their journey toward better health.
