At the Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) program in Wheeler Army Airfield, HI, we are dedicated to fostering healthier communities by supporting low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and children from birth to age five. Our mission is to promote better nutritional practices through comprehensive services, including nutrition assessment and education, breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals for substance abuse cessation and other vital health and social services. By providing access to supplemental healthy foods and a dedicated Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program, we empower families to thrive. To participate, individuals must meet specific income criteria and demonstrate a medical or nutritional risk. Together, we can help build a healthier future for our children and families.
