HIRTA Helps RSVP is dedicated to providing essential support and services to older adults in Ames, IA, and the surrounding Central Iowa Counties of Madison and Marion. Through our AmeriCorps Seniors program, we offer vital services such as non-emergency medical transportation, food assistance, and companionship to enhance the well-being of seniors in our community. To ensure we meet individual needs effectively, participants begin with an intake assessment. While we graciously accept donations, all services remain free of charge, making them accessible to everyone who requires assistance. We are always seeking compassionate volunteers to join our mission, and if you’re interested in supporting our seniors, we will help you find a meaningful role that suits your interests. Our commitment extends further with translation services available to all who need them, fostering inclusivity in our outreach efforts.
