Heartland Senior Services of Story County is dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults in Ames, IA, by providing essential support for them and their families. Our Home-delivered Meals Program ensures that nutritious, heart-healthy meals are brought directly to the doors of homebound seniors, helping to combat food insecurity due to illness, disability, or transportation challenges. In addition to meal delivery, we offer congregate meals, outreach services, social activities, wellness initiatives, and an adult day center. We believe in fostering a strong, supportive community for our aging residents, empowering them to maintain their health and independence. To receive home-delivered meals, seniors must be 60 years or older, reside outside Ames city limits, and meet specific health criteria.
