The Family Enrichment Center (FEC) in Ankeny, IA, is dedicated to transforming the lives of families at risk of long-term welfare dependency and instability. Our mission focuses on empowering families towards self-sufficiency through comprehensive support services, education, and employment opportunities. As the grantee for the Family Development and Self-Sufficiency program (FaDSS) in Polk County, we provide tailored assistance to help families on the Family Investment Program (FIP) achieve economic independence. Our team of case managers works closely with approximately 20 families each, offering vital resources in housing, transportation, childcare, nutrition, and life skills.
